Global first established a presence in the Middle East/Mediterranean with the acquisition of selected assets from Subtec in 1997 and Oceaneering in 2000 that expanded our diving capabilities. Global's Middle East operations have expanded further, highlighting once again the importance of this region in today’s energy industry. 

Global has offices and port facilities in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates and Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and continues to grow its offshore construction activity in the region, building on the foundation created by its diving operations business.  

The Company was selected by British Gas Exploration and Production India Ltd. for an 11-month assignment involving installation of new pipelines in the Tapti Field, and was also awarded a contract by Atlantis (UAQ) Limited for installation work associated with development of the Umm Al Qaiwain (UAQ) gas field in the United Arab Emirates.
