| Diving and Subsea Services
Global uses its extensive worldwide fleet of vessels and saturation systems to provide diving services for virtually every phase of offshore operations, from routine jobs in shallow water, to the most complex projects in depths up to 1,500 FSW. As one of the fastest growing companies in America (Fortune Magazine, September, 2007), Global Industries is a leader in deepwater diving, underwater welding technology, and subsea completions.
Global continues to log over 20,000 diver days per year, and our safety record is one of the best in the industry. Ongoing education through safety seminars and mock emergency drills keep Global personnel sharply focused of preventing accidents, and responding to them promptly and efficiently when they occur.

The nature and economics of the oil industry constantly requires new concepts to intervene in subsea wells at considerably less cost than today. Diverless intervention is one method in which Global has invested heavily.
The role of ROVs (Remotely operated vehicles) for construction and maintenance has increased, in addition to the more traditional use for underwater inspection and observation. Global’s newest multi-service vessel, the Olympic Challenger, is outfitted with two new ROVs, which allows us to participate in projects which require diverless intervention in deeper water, as well as additional SURF work. |
